I started my apprenticeship in Harringtons in May 2022 as an HGV Mechanic. Since joining I have been provided with all the PPE and safety training courses to make sure I always work as safe as possible. I have also been graciously welcomed by all my co-workers including the garage foreman Ray. In terms of learning experiences, working conditions, etc. the company is far ahead of any of it’s competitors.
Cillian (HGV Mechanic)
“Doing my apprenticeship at Harrington’s has given me the opportunity to learn about a vast amount of different machinery i.e., Pavers, Rollers, Excavators and loading shovels, from this I have gained the knowledge that will prepare me for a career in Plant Fitting.”
Kevin (Construction Plant Apprenticeship)
Since I started my Apprenticeship with Harrington Concrete and Quarries, I have learned a vast majority and gained lots of experience in welding and quarry fabrication in the areas of crushers, conveyers, screens and machinery. I enjoy the work and experience that I am getting with Harrington Concrete and Quarries.
Keelan (Metal/Fabrication Apprenticeship)
I started in Harringtons in late September as a construction plant fitter, the amount of knowledge I have learned in the past few months is amazing. It has given me the knowledge to fix our own machinery at home as well as trucks too. My garage foreman Ray has taught me lots about a variety of different mechanisms in machinery and trucks. If you want to be getting paid to learn, work and go to college this is the career for you!

Apprenticeships at Harrington’s: “A great way to earn while u learn. I had a really good opportunity at Harrington’s during my apprenticeship, I learnt a vast amount each day and any questions I had about the electrical was always answered by my manager and team. The Electrical manager was very helpful and easy work with. I was fortunate to have an excellent understanding of electrical work heading into my college phases along with a great understanding of all sides of the electrical trade”.
